Monochromatic Looks For Summer!
Monochromatic looks are effortless, chic, and can be pulled off in the Summer! I personally love wearing off white denim later in the Summer when the temps aren't so scorching hot! Remember guys, I am in Texas, and our Summers are brutal! Shades of nude from head to toe are also a favorite of mine! From the accessories to the shoes, all nude pieces give me all the Summer feels!
Pulling off these monochromatic looks isn't easy! You have to make sure all the tones are within the same neutral shades! In other words, don't get that brightest white blouse and ivory pants or skirt! They all have to blend together for that perfect monochromatic look!
Below are two outfits that I recently styled so you can see how these neutral looks are perfect for Summer! And the great thing about these looks, is that they can also perfectly transition into the next Season, Fall!!!
The first look I styled with the dress, I bought at my local Plato's Closet. The ball drop earrings I've had and they were bought at New York and Company. The nude block ankle strap heels are from Payless Shoesource and I've also had for a few months now. The half moon bag is from my local Forever21! I love how this look was completely neutral but yet so perfect and light enough for the hot Summer we are having in Texas!
The second look is all off white, casual, yet chic! The Apt9 beaded fluttered tee from Kohl's I found on sale for just $19.99 (orig $30) (also available in wine, olive, periwinkle, and black), the Lauren Conrad cropped ankle off white jeans were on the clearance rack for $15.00 and the Katy Perry heels I found at my local resale store Plato's Closet under $12.00!
Again, these looks were effortlessly styled for the Summer heat we are having in Texas so far! And they also made my slight tan look more bronze!!! Depending on the time of day that I take outfit photo's, my skin either looks sun kissed or barely bronze!! And we've spent a lot of our Summer in the pool!!
As always, thanks so much for your support and for stopping by, until the next blog post!
