My Skin Care Routine! How To Keep Skin Glowing and Acne Free!

Happy Wednesday Loves!  I don't know about you Moms out there, but my kids go back to school tomorrow Thursday August 15, 2019!!  They are excited but also kind of scared!  Remember to give them confidence and re-assurance that they got this!  I officially have a high school senior, 5th grader, 2nd grader, and 1st grader!  Yes, a senior in high school!! Where has the time gone!

Well, aside from getting four kids ready for school, I am also getting myself ready to get back into the workforce!  While I have enjoyed the last ten years being at home raising them, it is now time for me to get back to my degree major and work while they are in school!  Plus the oldest will start college next year and we don't want him to be drowned in school debt, so we have chosen to financially help him as long as he stays in school and chooses a field he will have the most use of with his degree!

Now, all that said, it makes me feel old!!! But my skin doesn't reflect it!  Here's why:  Since I was a little girl I remember always using my mom's body creams and lotions to moisturize from head to toe!  My body literally as soft as silk!  Now, once I became a mother, my body did change and I couldn't escape stretch marks!  Nope, not even with my soft skin!  But I have still continued to moisturize daily, twice a day!  I have been faithful to Palmer's products for years!  I will link the products I use!  I also love Jergen's products, so I alternate between those two brands!  For my face and neck, I have been faithful to L'Oreal products for years!  Their Age Perfect Hydra Nutrition products to be exact!  I will link those as well too!  Twice a week I also use St. Ives Apricot Scrub to exfoliate!

I don't use high end products to wash my face, I use Clearasil hydra boost face wash when remember to order it because most drug stores don't carry it in stock!  And when I forget to order it, the Walmart off brand works just as good!  I don't use toner due to toners over drying my skin causing breakouts or skin peeling!  So basically, I just wash morning and night with face wash, then moisturize with my Loreal products!

Quick story:  From the age of 18 to about 30 I suffered with hormonal acne.  The acne was all on my face cheekbones chin and neck area.  During that time in my life, I worked full time, stressful environment, and my eating habits were terrible!  I spend hundreds of dollars on professional dermatologist treatments, medicines, and nothing would help!  It wasn't until I decided to change my lifestyle, eat healthy, workout daily, and drink lots of water, that I started to see a change!  These changes allowed me to ditch expensive medicines and creams that were not working for me and I became more confident when out in public with no makeup!  I haven't had this horrible hormonal acne or acne breakouts since!  I do have some scarring from the treatments and blemish popping, but now I have smooth glowing skin!

So, for a quick recap, I eat a lot healthier than before, I drink lots of water, and I wash my face daily, as well as moisturize daily and twice a day!  Working out and choosing healthier eating options(I do have days I still have unhealthy choices or takeout) but no where near how I would eat in the past or my past food choices!  So, always remember to drink lots of water, make healthy food choices, eat lots of fruits and veggies, high in fiber diets, always wash your face morning and night, and always moisturize face morning and night!
